A really good friend of mine had a little boy recently ~ He's such a lil cutie, seriously little!! He was born 3 weeks early but healthy on Oct 23rdat 5:59 weighing in at 7lbs 1oz! I'm sooo tickled pink (or blue? :P) for them and his two big sisters.

I first had the honor of visiting him in the hospital:

& Then again at his home... This is one of two photo shoots I'll be doing with this little guy - today's shoot was to warm him up for my camera... The next shoot will be with his mommy, daddy and two big sisters =) I look forward to it!

As the leaves turn colors, and the chilly air nips us and reminds us of how much we take the summer's warmth for-granted I'm gearin up for the cute, adorable, scary costumes!!

So, for October's Special I would love to photograph your child or even you :P in your costume(s)! The cost you ask? $50 per person. In return you get 2 adorably (scary?) finished digital images per person photographed!

If you are interested please comment on this blog post or somewhere on my facebook page. The plan is I am going to do it all in one day, in one location somewhere in Chilliwack on October 25th, the location will be announced closer to the date and will depend on the weather.

A back-story, and a few more Teasers,,,

About a year and a half-ago-ish my friend Chelsea and I were just kinda babbling about whatever and we got onto the topic of our single friends somehow - I then came up with this fabulously-amazing idea that perhaps her single friend and my single friend should be made into a match! From there we sang the song "Match-maker, match-maker, make me a match!" and did just that! We organized a BBQ at my house so it'd be more of a comfortable atmosphere for both Pat and Angela and let fate play it's roll. Quite obviously they hit it off and he proposed New Years Eve, 2010 and she said "Yes!" - It was sweet, romantic and a dream come true for them both! Now, finally, their wedding day has come and now they are on their Honeymoon in Mexico =)

From our family to theirs, Congratulations Pat and Angela and thank you for inviting me and asking me to capture this amazingly gorgeous day where you two became Husband and Wife!

Teasers for Pat and Angela's Wedding!!!

It was a beautiful day today not only because the sun was shining, but because Pat and Angela became husband and wife!!! I had an absolute blast photographing their wedding and wanted to share at least a few with you before I go to bed (it's nearly 2am now lol), so for now, here's two!!! Yes, only two! So this time she is without the cute, sassy curls and she's all Diva this time!!

I had Miss Shauna in for a second photography session so Tabetha and I could align our collaborative creativitiy for our future Boudoir Sessions! Let me tell you, she did AMAZING!!! She did a classic smokey look on Shauna, with a twist of sassy shimmer! It was FABULOUS!

The other day my friend came over semi-made up from a photo session with The Beautiful Women Project she had won at the Woman's Show weeks prior (I say semi, because she'd taken some of the make-up off already, leaving her eyes and lips as Pam's masterpiece!). I felt compelled to pull out my camera for some photographic fun! =) I didn't do anything fancy, just used the natural light in my attic, the walls as my backdrops - with how absolutely stunning Shauna looked, I didn't need anything else! Afterward I did do some editing for the fun of it}. Here's some photographs I had the fun of shooting. Enjoy!

Miss Payton - Mommy and Daddy's little fighter!

I have a good friend that I practically grew up with. Her and her hubby have a little boy who's almost 3, and their newest addition, Payton! She's a little big girl and is such a fighter :) She spent 77 days in the NICU due to being premature and has now been home for approximately a week with her mommy, daddy and proud big brother (she's his baby, ya know? hehe). She was diagnosed with chronic lung disease as well, but it's said that she will grow out of that by the time she's about 5 years of age. She's such a beautiful little princess and such a pleasure to photograph! And, wow! She's so small (approximately 6lbs) with a big personality :)

After everything they've gone through with having to go back and forth to Children's Hopsital, among two other hospitals and the hard times (that are quite obviously followed by the good times!!!!) - As my gift, I offered them a free photo session. This is my welcome home gift to Miss Payton and her parents! Congratulations Amanda & William, she's such a precious little doll. :)

Today was rainy, but it was a great day to photograph a good friend's husband - to, essentially man-glam him. We had a great time... He climbed up tree's, nearly fell out of the tree *shhhhh...lol*, braved slippery logs with the risk of falling into a babbling stream - but we made it! Here are a few shots for his wife!

So, a story originates as a personal tie with this wonderful couple... I've known Pat (the Groom to be) for a long time, something like 9 or so years? I met Angela (The Bride to be) recently (but not TOO recently ;) hehe) through a mutual friend (Chelsea) and became fast friends... Shortly after we (Chelsea & I) decided to play match-maker and set Pat and Angela up <3 style="color: rgb(204, 102, 204);">

Fast forward to recent/now: Pat proposed on New Years eve to the love of his life, Angela! They are now set to be married on July 10th, 2010... Congratulations again you two, I are so happy for you guys!!!

Okay, so NOW fast forward to now, like today now (hehe):
Today I did their engagement photographs and I am also going to be photographing their wedding! I am so excited! We had a lot of fun today! Here's a few sneak peaks!!!

Nick & Kerry's Wedding - Today!

So today is their blessed day, the day they become Husband and Wife and I am going to be there every step of the way capturing it on (I'd like to say film, but it's not) memory cards. ;) I'm sure they're a big ball of nerves and excitement right now and I'm gradually becoming nervous as we get closer and closer. The wedding starts at 3 and I will be there with them and am looking forward to witnessing and capturing it all.

Home Based LOVE

I was at a kids Christmas party with my kids a few days ago and just for the fun of it took pictures, I wasn't looking to sell, and even offered to take Santa pictures for a Mom or two. Anyways, one of the ladies is in the midst of adopting two beautiful little girls and she just loved the pictures I took and asked if she could write about me and of course I didn't decline.. She posted a note on her facebook and this is what she wrote:

Today at 8:43pm
I was at a kids Xmas Party and the girls had a blast. Sitting so quietly was this woman holding a child. Whom was taking shots of the whole event. She would be smiling away then into action she went. The camera in her hand seemed to come alive. Later while chatting with her I found out a few things about this quiet lady. That her love for taking pictures was a side line to her being a full time mom. Later I had the pleasure of seeing her handy work via email. Fawn is her name and I think she has a talent with children and getting that most perfect picture while having fun. Check out her site.
